  • JOYRIDE DRIVER RESPONSIBILITY FORM

  • Congrats! You have been selected to be contracted through Joyride; you will be compensated by the amount of rides given as revenue share. You will report to work based on the schedule you choose, and should be willing to take suggestions and recommendations from the Joyride management team. If you have an issue or accident while driving you should report it to your manager immediately.
  • NOTIFYING JOYRIDE OF YOUR ABILITY TO WORK:
  • You are to select your shifts based on communication with the site manager. Once your shift is approved by a manager you are required to work the shifts you selected. You will be issued a cart at the start of your shift. It is imperative that you sign-in with your cart assignment. Failure to do so could be considered theft of vehicle.
  • VEHICLE ASSIGNMENT:
  • You will be provided a low speed vehicle for use while on your shift. You agree this vehicle is not to be used for personal use and only for work purposes for a fee of 50/50 of the revenue generated on the cart . You agree that you will keep the vehicle clean after every shift and report any damages or safety issues immediately to management and maintenance. You agree that returning your vehicle back messy, dirty, or damaged could result in a charge for cleaning or repairs. Excessive messy or damaged vehicles could also result in lost shifts or loss of contract from Joyride.
  • ATTENDANCE, TARDINESS & CART RENTAL:
  • You are expected to arrive on time to your shift. As a contractor you have the freedom to select when you want to work, and tardiness can lead to the removal from shifts and possible termination from your contract with Joyride. If you are unable to make your scheduled shift you must notify your manager immediately. A cart rental fee is associated with all shifts. A fine may be imposed or you maybe be removed from further shifts. Drivers could be released from their contract due to gross negligence or competence.
  • TRANSPORTATION RELEASE:
  • Joyride agrees to provide you with a certified low speed vehicle during your assigned shifts only. You agree to release Joyride of any and all liability associated with any provided transportation during your shift while driving on our vehicle. You acknowledge you may be held liable for any damage to vehicle and bodily harm to passengers caused when you are driving due to negligence.
  • UNIFORMS & PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE:
  • A uniform shirt may be provided to you by Joyride. If so, it should be worn on every shift and must be in clean and good condition. If you have not been provided a shirt, please wear a solid black or dark grey shirt with sleeves while performing tours. Please wear solid color pants or shorts (black, jean, kahaki, etc). Camo designs, leggings, athleti-leasure wear, gym shorts, etc are not allowed. Wear closed toed shoes at all times while driving. No Skirts or Dresses, no Tank tops, cut offs or belly shirts. Keep it simple! Solid dark colors without logos designs or decals.
  • DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTING:
  • I understand I will need to submit to a drug test immediately after a workplace injury. If I refuse to submit to the test or fail the test, I will be subject to immediate release of contract and may be required to pay for damages. I also authorize to disclose any results of such tests to any government entity or client I worked for in a legal proceeding or audit. I hold harmless from any and all lawsuits, proceedings, claims, or caused of action, including loss of employment, or from any action or inaction of or its clients that might arise as a result of the testing.
  • CELL PHONES:
  • Smart phones are a helpful tool for the job. You will be responsible for providing your own phone and timely payment for your own bill. Joyride is not responsible for providing a phone or paying your monthly payment. Not having proper access to a smart phone with a data plan could result in loss of revenue. A cell phone is a required tool of the job for management communication.
  • PAYCHECKS
  • Paychecks will be issued via company check after the conclusion of the event (typically Sunday night). You must fill out a W9 online and will be e-mailed a 1099 if your income exceeds $600. You will receive an email link from Quickbooks to fill out your 1099 form. This must be completed prior to driving a cart.
  • CALL RECORDING:
  • Calls could be recorded through the phone system for quality assurance and training purposes.
  • WORK RULES & REGULATIONS:
  • When driving for Joyride you are a representative of the brand and an Ambassador of the race track and of Joyride. You will be judged by your attitude, appearance and your customer service. As a driver you must agree to the following /// Arrive early enough and in uniform if possible. /// Plan ahead for traffic. /// Bring a fully charged cell phone /// Leave bad attitude at home /// Drive only the cart assigned to you unless otherwise told by management /// Bring your ID /// Dress for weather – we still operate in the rain /// Refrain from profanity, obscene gestures, or harassment of other drivers, passengers, etc /// Be polite and curious /// Do not abuse cart or take advantage of the opportunity given to you /// No drinking and driving /// Sign out your shift and deposit 100% of money when done working /// ALWAYS BE RESPECTFUL TO OTHERS!
  • SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PROCEDURES:
  • You are required to follow all Client safety rules as well as those listed below. Violations will result in disciplinary actions. /// Upon arrival at job site, look over your vehicle and equipment to be used. Any issues or safety concerns are to be reported immediately to Joyride. /// Refuse “politely” any passenger a ride you feel it is unsafe. Call a manager or another driver immediately to report the unsafe conditions /// No Texting and Driving, TN is a hands-free state, follow all local laws. /// Never transport more than 5 passengers in your cart. /// Never leave your cart unattended with your key in the ignition /// Wear proper shoes. No heels, flops, or shoes that make driving difficult or dangerous /// Reckless/Careless driving is never permitted under any circumstance. /// Follow the dress code at all times. /// Do not drive in the middle of driving lanes, bike lanes or on sidewalks!!! /// Be free of drugs and alcohol /// Always use proper turn signals and follow ALL TRAFFIC LAWS /// Weapons, violence, drugs or alcohol are not permitted on carts /// Never use your headlights during daylight, unless it’s raining. (headlights drain the battery)
  • ACCIDENT PROCEDURE
  • If hurt while on assignment, you must call the office manager immediately. If it is a life threatening emergency call 911 first. Joyride management will investigate the accident, and call insurance if needed. The driver is responsible for talking to witnesses and fill out a report if police come. The manager will drive to the employee if needed. Never admit to guilt. Let the evidence talk for you. A drug and alcohol test will be administered in every accident that occurs while driving. If the result of the drug &/or alcohol test is positive, driver may be liable for damages to company property, private property, as well as physical or emotional injuries. I understand and will follow these procedures if I am ever injured at work.
  • INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR:
  • As an independent contractor, you may be subject to certain open shift days or assignments that management feels is necessary to carry out normal business. Also please understand the following /// Joyride does not provide medical insurance /// Joyride does not provide an hourly rate unless during special circumstances. /// Joyride has the right to cancel any agreement between Joyride and independent contractor for any reason /// Joyride has the right to give as well as deny certain days that you are allowed to drive /// Joyride has the right to drug or alcohol test at any time while you are working a shift.
  • KEY AND CART ASSIGNMENT:
  • Each driver will be issued a key, credentials, and a cart assignment at the start of their shift. The key must be returned at the end of the end of every shift. Failure to do so will result in a $10 fine taken off the driver’s paycheck. Each driver will be issued ONE credential. These credentials are to be used for work purposes only. Joyride contractors are not permitted to sell, modify, or abuse their credentials. Credentials are not for use for grandstand entry or for viewing a race for personal enjoyment.
  • BACKGROUND CHECK AUTHORIZATION AND FEE
  • As a condition of your contract with Joyride Tours, LLC and ISC/ NASCAR a criminal background check and MVR pull may be conducted by a third party company, at the cost of $10.00 (if allowed by State) for every 12 months. I understand that $10.00 will be deducted from my paycheck to cover the cost of these reports. I release the company and the reporting agencies from any liability and responsibilities arising from the preparation of the report.
  • SEXUAL HARASSMENT:
  • Any person who feels he/she is a victim of sexual harassment should report it to the manager. It is the policy of to investigate any and all claims of Sexual Harassment reported. Any driver who accuses any other driver, employee, or passenger of sexual harassment should not fear retaliation from the company or any other person for lodging a complaint. After a fair and objective investigation, if harassment has occurred, the harasser will be dealt with and terminated/ prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
  • JOYRIDE DRIVER:
  • I understand that I will be a driver of Joyride. I understand I am representing the city, event, the sponsor, as well as Joyride the brand. I will do my all to provide the best customer experience and provide professional attitude. I am an independent contractor and I work on my own free will.
  • LSV MAPS, REGULATIONS, AND BOUNDARIES:
  • Each event has the right to govern Low Speed Vehicles above and beyond the state regulation. This could include but not limited to: operating boundaries, specific rules and regulations designed specifically for LSVs, and local driver permitting. I understand that my manager has provided me with training and access to the appropriate regulations and boundary maps as deemed necessary by the local government and event that I am working.
  • DRIVER'S MANUAL AUTHORIZATION:
  • I understand that I am responsible for all information listed in the Joyride Driver's Manual. If requested, I will be offered a digital or paper copy of the Driver's Manual for my review.
