JOYRIDE DRIVER RESPONSIBILITY FORM
Congrats! You have been selected to be contracted through Joyride; you will be compensated by the amount of rides given as revenue share. You will report to work based on the schedule you choose, and should be willing to take suggestions and recommendations from the Joyride management team. If you have an issue or accident while driving you should report it to your manager immediately.
NOTIFYING JOYRIDE OF YOUR ABILITY TO WORK:
You are to select your shifts based on communication with the site manager. Once your shift is approved by a manager you are required to work the shifts you selected. You will be issued a cart at the start of your shift. It is imperative that you sign-in with your cart assignment. Failure to do so could be considered theft of vehicle.
You will be provided a low speed vehicle for use while on your shift. You agree this vehicle is not to be used for personal use and only for work purposes for a fee of 50/50 of the revenue generated on the cart . You agree that you will keep the vehicle clean after every shift and report any damages or safety issues immediately to management and maintenance. You agree that returning your vehicle back messy, dirty, or damaged could result in a charge for cleaning or repairs. Excessive messy or damaged vehicles could also result in lost shifts or loss of contract from Joyride.
ATTENDANCE, TARDINESS & CART RENTAL:
You are expected to arrive on time to your shift. As a contractor you have the freedom to select when you want to work, and tardiness can lead to the removal from shifts and possible termination from your contract with Joyride. If you are unable to make your scheduled shift you must notify your manager immediately. A cart rental fee is associated with all shifts. A fine may be imposed or you maybe be removed from further shifts. Drivers could be released from their contract due to gross negligence or competence.
Joyride agrees to provide you with a certified low speed vehicle during your assigned shifts only. You agree to release Joyride of any and all liability associated with any provided transportation during your shift while driving on our vehicle. You acknowledge you may be held liable for any damage to vehicle and bodily harm to passengers caused when you are driving due to negligence.
UNIFORMS & PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE:
A uniform shirt may be provided to you by Joyride. If so, it should be worn on every shift and must be in clean and good condition. If you have not been provided a shirt, please wear a solid black or dark grey shirt with sleeves while performing tours. Please wear solid color pants or shorts (black, jean, kahaki, etc). Camo designs, leggings, athleti-leasure wear, gym shorts, etc are not allowed. Wear closed toed shoes at all times while driving. No Skirts or Dresses, no Tank tops, cut offs or belly shirts. Keep it simple! Solid dark colors without logos designs or decals.
DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTING:
I understand I will need to submit to a drug test immediately after a workplace injury. If I refuse to submit to the test or fail the test, I will be subject to immediate release of contract and may be required to pay for damages. I also authorize to disclose any results of such tests to any government entity or client I worked for in a legal proceeding or audit. I hold harmless from any and all lawsuits, proceedings, claims, or caused of action, including loss of employment, or from any action or inaction of or its clients that might arise as a result of the testing.
Smart phones are a helpful tool for the job. You will be responsible for providing your own phone and timely payment for your own bill. Joyride is not responsible for providing a phone or paying your monthly payment. Not having proper access to a smart phone with a data plan could result in loss of revenue. A cell phone is a required tool of the job for management communication.
Paychecks will be issued via company check after the conclusion of the event (typically Sunday night). You must fill out a W9 online and will be e-mailed a 1099 if your income exceeds $600. You will receive an email link from Quickbooks to fill out your 1099 form. This must be completed prior to driving a cart.
Calls could be recorded through the phone system for quality assurance and training purposes.
